HOW TO CALCULATE THE CAPACITY OF A GOLD WASH PLANT?

Yesterday a friend from South Africa asked me about the construction of a gold wash plant. She said, “We plan to produce 20-25kg of gold every week, so how big a gold wash plant should we build?” Today, I will share with you the ideas for answering this question.
1. ANALYSIS
If we need to figure out the size of the gold wash plant, we need to know the capacity of the equipment. Since the unit of the ore processing capacity of our equipment is tons/hour, we need to know how many tons of ore should be processed per hour?
2. GOAL
Figure out how many tons of ore should be processed per hour.
3. COMPUTATIONAL PROCESS
To do this, we need the following four steps:
- Calculate how many hours you work per week.
- Calculate how many grams of gold need to be produced per hour.
- Calculate how many tons of gold ore need to be processed for each gram of gold produced.
- Calculate how many tons of gold ore need to be processed per hour.

Note: The recovery rate of the concentrator is not 100%, we assume a 10% loss of gold.
